Welwitchia University Hosts Inspiring Presentation by Hessing Clinic

Windhoek, Namibia Welwitchia University was honored to host a presentation by the esteemed Hessing Clinic, a renowned healthcare institution in Germany, on the 07th November 2024. The event, attended by university staff, students, and stakeholders, provided invaluable insights into Hessing’s operational model, emphasizing leadership, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction within healthcare.

The Hessing Clinic representative began by sharing the foundation’s core values, including its mission and vision, highlighting similarities to Welwitchia University’s dedication to excellence in education and healthcare. Hessing employs a team of 1,500, cultivating a close-knit, supportive culture where employees are empowered to contribute ideas and drive innovation. "Our personal approach ensures that people feel valued and have the support they need to enact positive changes," stated the representative. This collaborative environment aligns well with Welwitchia’s vision of fostering a workforce ready to bring meaningful change to Namibia and beyond.

The Hessing Clinic also shared its commitment to customer satisfaction, an area of critical importance in healthcare. By focusing on the patient experience, Hessing has developed a model where healthcare and customer satisfaction converge, setting a high standard for quality service. This emphasis on patient-centered care provided Welwitchia’s students with a fresh perspective on healthcare delivery, aligning with the university’s ongoing dedication to producing compassionate and competent healthcare professionals.

In her closing remarks, Welwitchia University Founder, Professor Scholastika Iipinge, extended her heartfelt thanks to the Hessing Clinic for their inspiring presentation. As part of the collaboration, students interested in pursuing healthcare careers in Germany were encouraged to submit their CVs, with the option to undertake German language training to facilitate their integration. Selected students will be invited for interviews, presenting an exciting opportunity for practical experience and potential employment with Hessing.
