WELWITCHIA UNIVERSITY SIGNS LANDMARK MOU WITH NAMIBIA STATISTICS AGENCY TO STRENGTHEN RESEARCH, INNOVATION AND CAPACITY BUILDING

Welwitchia University (WU) has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Namibia Statistics Agency (NSA), marking a significant milestone in the University’s commitment to academic excellence, research collaboration, and institutional capacity building.

The partnership establishes a framework for cooperation between the two institutions through student and staff exchange programmes, joint research initiatives, resource sharing, and work-integrated learning opportunities for students. It will also support community engagement, cultural and sports exchanges, and staff training and development.

A key focus of the MoU is the promotion of research and innovation, particularly in areas where reliable data and evidence-based insights can contribute to national development. The collaboration is expected to create valuable opportunities for students to gain practical exposure, strengthen their professional skills, and contribute to projects that support Namibia’s socio-economic growth.
