Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education (Honours) Grade 8-12 NQF Level 8
Requirements
A candidate who wishes to enroll for the Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education (Honours) Grade 8-12 NQF Level 8 should comply with the following criteria:
- A candidate must have a minimum of 25 points on the WU Evaluation scale based on their five (5) best subjects on the following: Namibia Senior Secondary Certificate Advanced Subsidiary (NSSCAS), Higher International General Certificate of Secondary Education (HIGCSE), Namibia Senior Secondary Certificate Ordinary Level (NSSCO), or International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE).
- This certificate must include at least a D symbol in two major subjects at the HIGCSE/Advanced Subsidiary Level, as well as a minimum D symbol in English.
OR
- An applicant should obtain twenty-two (22) points at
NSSCO/H/AS Level or equivalent in five (5) subjects, including English, with a minimum of E symbol; in addition to a qualification on NQF level 6 or higher.
OR
- Mature-Age entry:
The following requirements must be met:
• Applicant must be at least 25 years old or over in the year in which admission is sought.
• They must have a minimum of three years of relevant work experience in the field of education.
• Applicants should possess an IGCSE/NSSCO with at least 20 points, or an equivalent qualification.
• Provide a recommendation letter from their employer or supervisor.
• Applicants are required to write and pass a mature age entry test.
OR
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
• An applicant must be 23 years of age or older and must be admitted through RPL.
• An applicant must have completed short courses in the relevant fields.
